This is Victor Vasarely’s ‘Boglar’, and its a wild game of seeing! Look at the radiating circles and squares in shades of blue, green, and yellow. I imagine Vasarely carefully plotting each shape, shifting and changing the colors to trick your eye. I wonder what he was thinking about as he made it? Maybe he wanted to mess with our perceptions, make us question what's real and what's not. It's not just about optical illusion; it's like he's created a whole new world on the canvas! This piece reminds me of the work of Bridget Riley who also explored perception and abstraction. It's like artists are constantly riffing off each other's ideas, pushing boundaries and challenging our ways of seeing. In the end, it is down to us to look long and hard. Enjoy the ride!
