Katarzyna Kobro’s Spatial Composition 9 is a dance between form and space, probably made with painted metal. It's all about how shapes interact, how they create a sense of movement even when they’re standing still. The color palette, restricted to shades of grey, focuses our attention on the forms themselves, those curving, swelling shapes. It’s almost like the piece is breathing. Look at the way the light catches the curves, how the surface shifts from dark to light, creating a sense of depth. There is an echo of other artists who were thinking about pure forms like Brancusi. But there's something uniquely Kobro’s in the way she merges sculpture with painting, creating objects that feel both grounded and ethereal. It's a testament to the endless possibilities of abstraction and the power of simple forms to evoke complex emotions.
