Twilight of Liberty 2017

It certainly speaks to Roitburd’s intent of engaging the viewers in questions about the meaning of the narratives about politics that permeate society. And it challenges the institutions that give meaning to politics. Curator: Absolutely. The artwork reflects a growing disillusionment during that period and serves as a poignant reminder of the constant vigilance required to safeguard liberty from internal decay or external threats. Editor: It is a dark and difficult piece. "Twilight of Liberty" compels us to consider the ongoing struggle for a just and free society, reminding us of the many forms of symbolic cannibalism rampant across current events.
