Dance WIth The Devil 

Valentina Remenar created this artwork, Dance With The Devil, using digital painting techniques in the 20th century. Here, the light and dark figures locked in a dance seem otherworldly, a realm evoked through the virtual brushstrokes and the way they are painstakingly rendered to resemble feathers and skin. The very immateriality of this work is striking. Born from the ether of digital space, and viewed on screens, its production bypasses traditional art materials altogether. Look closely, and you’ll see that Remenar’s craft lies in her meticulous attention to detail. The way light catches on the angel’s wing, and the unsettling rendering of the demon’s gaze.
