This abstract painting was made by Alexander Liberman, but the medium and exact date remains a mystery to me. What's striking is its bold simplicity. It's all about color and form, like someone cut out these shapes and pasted them together in this vibrant mix of orange, blue and purple. The surface looks smooth, maybe silkscreened or painted with a roller, no brushstrokes visible. The precision gives it a clean, almost industrial feel. I'm drawn to the place where the blue circle meets the orange ground, where that perfect edge creates tension. It's so clear, but at the same time, it's hard to say what it means, and that's what I like about it. Liberman's work shares some of the same minimalist vibes as Ellsworth Kelly's paintings, but with a more playful, pop-art twist. It's like a visual puzzle. It invites us to think about shapes, colors, and the way they interact, without giving us any easy answers.
