Alfred Freddy Krupa made this artwork, Fuji-San, with ink on paper. The way the ink just *lands* on the paper feels so direct, so immediate. It reminds me that art is as much about the process as it is about the final image. There's a real physicality to the piece; you can almost feel the artist's hand moving across the page. The ink is thick and opaque in some areas, creating these bold, confident strokes, while in other spots, it thins out, becoming almost transparent. Look at the way the ink bleeds slightly into the paper, especially around the edges of the form. It gives the piece a sense of depth and texture, like the mountain is breathing. This work brings to mind the work of Franz Kline. There's that same sense of gestural abstraction, that raw energy captured in ink. Ultimately, art is a conversation, an ongoing exchange of ideas across time, where meaning is never fixed, but always open to interpretation.
