Erro created "Urban Chaos" with a sense of playful disruption that reminds me of my own process as a painter. The high-key colours and chaotic composition makes me think of walking around New York. The thick outlines and flat planes of colour remind me of Pop Art, and the multiple layers create a sense of depth and dynamism, almost like a collage. The word bubbles with "Yes" and "Nobody", and the recurring image of Wonder Woman's face add another layer of interpretation and create a sense of visual overload, of urban sprawl. The way Erro combines recognizable comic book elements with abstract geometric shapes reminds me of the work of Roy Lichtenstein, but with a more chaotic, almost punk energy. I like the way "Urban Chaos" embraces the ambiguity and contradictions of contemporary life, rejecting any single, definitive meaning.
