This pretty pink garment is lingerie, crêpe de chine trimmed with blonde lace made by Madame Watrigant. I’m drawn to the way the density of the lace dissolves gradually, as if the fabric itself is exhaling. Think about the labor that went into this piece, the anonymous hands that meticulously crafted these patterns. It's so light, so delicate. I’m thinking of Agnes Martin and her deceptively simple grids, the repetition that creates a space for contemplation, a kind of visual mantra. This lingerie isn't so different. Each tiny stitch, each carefully placed motif, contributes to a larger rhythm. The colour is so subtle, a whisper of pink against the skin. It's a reminder that art, like life, is often found in the details. It's in the way light filters through the lace, the way the fabric drapes and folds, the way it feels against the body.
