David Michael Hinnebusch's *Pittsburgh S Team* comes alive through bold colors and dynamic strokes, capturing the raw energy of sports. You can almost feel the artist in the act, intuitively layering paint to construct and deconstruct the image simultaneously. I get a sense of the artist’s struggle to capture the essence of the Steelers, their struggle, their spirit. I'm drawn to the way Hinnebusch uses yellows and blacks, smearing and blending them so that there is a feeling of movement.
