"Kopi efter oldkristen mosaik, samt notater," (Copy after an old Christian mosaic, and notes) created in 1900 by Danish artist Niels Larsen Stevns (1864-1941), is a watercolor on paper depicting a scene from early Christian art. The artwork features a central cross surrounded by deer, with a figure of Christ in the upper portion of the composition. The artist's interpretation of an old Christian mosaic highlights the stylistic elements and narrative significance of early religious imagery. This work is currently held in the collection of the SMK - Statens Museum for Kunst.
