"Untitled" (2017), by Ukrainian artist Alevtyna Kakhidze, is a work on paper that reflects on the themes of censorship and freedom of expression. The piece features a figure with wings that resembles a child-like angel. On the other page of the open sketchbook, the word "запрет" (forbidden) is written in bold black letters above a wall and the word "вандализм" (vandalism). The interplay between the imagery suggests a connection between the act of "vandalism" and the concept of freedom, challenging established boundaries and restrictions. The artwork is created in a loose and expressive style, typical of Kakhidze’s approach, which often incorporates childlike and graphic elements to convey complex social and political issues.
