Editor: This etching by Martin Disler, simply called "[no title]", features a series of frenetic lines and shapes. It feels almost claustrophobic. What do you make of it? Curator: It's like Disler reached right into the chaos of the subconscious and pulled this image out. The lines, the shapes, they aren't quite forming anything concrete, are they? It's more about the *feeling* of something trying to emerge. It gives me the sense of the in-between— that moment right before a dream fully fades, or a memory surfaces. What do you think it evokes? Editor: Definitely a sense of unease and tension. I can see the dream-like quality you mention. It's hard to look away. Curator: Exactly. There is a strange beauty in that discomfort.
