Editor: Here we have an untitled print by Stephen Buckley. It's composed of rectangles in green and orange, overlaid with an abstract black shape. It feels playful, almost like a deconstructed building. What do you make of it? Curator: Playful is spot on. It reminds me of jazz, all improvisation and bold color. It's like Buckley’s riffing on form, seeing how far he can push abstraction. It's also rather intimate, isn’t it? Its small size makes me want to get closer. Does it draw you in? Editor: It does, now that you mention it! The scale makes it feel like a personal invitation to decipher his visual language. I hadn't thought about that! Curator: Exactly! It is about close looking, isn't it? That's why I find it so rewarding.
