This small, delicate cup, known as a “kop” in Dutch, is a fine example of 18th-century porcelain. Crafted around 1784 by Loosdrecht, it features a simple yet elegant design of cornflowers painted in shades of blue and green on a white background. The cup’s small size and delicate floral motif reflects the popular aesthetic of the time, a time when fine craftsmanship and a sense of refinement were highly valued. The piece is now part of the Rijksmuseum’s collection, showcasing the evolution of Dutch decorative arts.
