Editor: Ivor Abrahams' 'First State of ‘Works Past I’' is a delicate etching. It feels like a ghostly architectural fragment. What do you see in this piece? Curator: I see echoes of classical ruins, rendered almost as a half-remembered dream. The rough lines suggest the weight of time, where cultural memory and the present intersect. What stories do these crumbling forms whisper to you? Editor: It makes me think about preservation, what we choose to save and what fades away. Curator: Precisely! The image becomes a symbol of how civilizations leave their marks, not always in grand monuments, but also in subtle traces. Thank you. Editor: I've never thought about it that way. I will not look at art the same way again.
