This is Christine B. Fletcher’s “Still Life No. 3,” looks like she captured it with some kind of vintage camera. I imagine her setting up this scene, arranging the grapes and pomegranates just so. You know, it's not just about copying what's there; it's about finding a certain order. Maybe she’s thinking about Cezanne, with his apples and oranges? The lighting is soft, almost dreamlike, and everything's in these muted tones. Look at how the light catches the skin of the grapes and the curve of that bowl in the back. It's about capturing the essence of these objects. Painters and photographers, we're all in this ongoing conversation, riffing off each other, trying to make sense of the world through our own lens. There's no right or wrong way, just different ways of seeing.
