"Pauli omvendelse" (The Conversion of Paul) is a red chalk drawing by Hendrik Krock, a prominent Danish artist of the Baroque era. Completed between 1686 and 1738, the drawing depicts the dramatic moment when Saul, later known as Paul, is struck blind by a divine light on his journey to Damascus. The scene showcases Krock's mastery of anatomy and movement, evident in the expressive postures of the figures and the dynamic composition. This study, now in the collection of the SMK - Statens Museum for Kunst, provides insight into Krock's artistic process and his interest in biblical narratives.
