Francis Naranjo made Íntimo III with video projection, found objects, and sound, so it seems like he's playing with multiple forms. I'm thinking about the artist's process here, about how one thing leads to another. The screen shows a person, mid-sentence, it's a portrait and maybe it's looped and repetitive? Maybe it's a conversation. The hanging headphones suggest listening, and being listened to. I wonder, what’s on the cart? Is it like an artist's palette? It might be that all these elements are a response to the figure on screen. The artist has responded and built around the image. I bet he's making a site of inquiry for himself as well as the viewer. Artists inspire one another’s creativity and are in an ongoing conversation and exchange of ideas across time. This piece embraces ambiguity and uncertainty, and allows for multiple interpretations. What do you think?
