This trade card, printed in the 1880s by W. Duke, Sons & Co. to promote their Cameo Cigarettes, features a portrait of actress Louise Pauline. The card, part of the "Actors and Actresses" series, displays a black and white photograph of Pauline in a simple but elegant dress, holding a small bouquet of flowers. The image is reminiscent of the popular "carte de visite" format prevalent during the 19th century. The card, measuring only 2 11/16 × 1 3/8 inches, is now part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's collection in New York City.
