Editor: Right, so, this is "Linear Development A" by Victor Pasmore. No date is available, but it's in the Tate Collection. It's really minimal, and yet… somehow playful? What do you see in it? Curator: Playful, yes! It makes me think of a secret language, like Pasmore is giving us the barest bones of a story and daring us to flesh it out. Those floating shapes—what do they whisper to you? Editor: I never thought of it like a secret language before. A poem maybe. Thanks! Curator: Or perhaps a musical score for a dance only the eye can perform. Now, doesn't that thought make the shapes sing a little brighter?
