Tadasky made this painting, A 100, using rhythmic lines and vibrant colors. I can imagine him, brush in hand, carefully building up these concentric circles, each one a step deeper into the vortex. There must have been a meditative quality to the process, a kind of focused breathing. I feel a kinship with Tadasky. It's like we're both exploring the same question: How can simple actions – in my case, messy brushstrokes; in his, precise lines – create something that vibrates with energy and meaning? I can almost hear him thinking: “How can I make the painting pop?” There is something so satisfying about that impulse to create. It transcends any one artist, we are all in conversation with each other across time. And so, the circles keep expanding...
