Tadasky made this painting, called A 100, with who knows what, but look how the colours just vibrate, right? The process here is all about repetition. I mean, concentric circles. Like, one after the other. The colours, red, yellow and blue. Really basic stuff, right? They make this work pulsate, like looking directly at the sun. It reminds me of some of those colour field guys like Noland, but way more playful. It doesn’t take itself seriously, and maybe that’s a good thing. Look at how those lines become thinner and thinner the closer you get to the centre. The eye just can't help but follow them in. Is it the light at the end of the tunnel or what? It's like Tadasky wants to hypnotise us! You know, art is all about having a conversation, riffing off what's come before. What will come after? Who knows. I guess we just have to wait and see.
