Here we have a collection of photographs, compiled into an album by an anonymous artist. There’s something really compelling about the way these images are presented together; they create a narrative through juxtaposition. I'm drawn to the image of the boat, maybe it's the 'Charlie' written on the side, a detail that feels both personal and oddly universal. The light catches the water in a way that makes you feel the humidity, the air thick with anticipation. This image seems to speak to the passage of time. Like a memory fading at the edges, it is simultaneously crystal clear and somehow intangible. What's so cool about the album format is how the artist invites us to find meaning in the spaces between things. It reminds me a little of Gerhard Richter’s ‘Atlas’ project, in the way it treats images as fragments of a larger, unknowable whole.
