Andy Warhol made this lively Frog with what looks like screen printing and hand-drawn lines. There's something charming in the way he doesn't fuss too much about staying within the lines, you know? It's like he's saying, “Here’s a frog, but it's also just colors and scribbles”. I love how the bright red background pops, making the white and blue lines jump out. It's so simple, yet so effective. You can almost feel the texture of the screen print, that slight roughness under the smooth lines he added on top. Look at those jagged zig-zags around the middle of the frog, it almost looks like he wants to eat you, or maybe he just wants a hug? Warhol's work always reminds me that art doesn't have to be serious or perfect. Like Picasso, it can be playful, unexpected, and a little bit weird, and that’s okay, or maybe even better than okay.
