While each portrait features different individuals and settings, they're unified by this soft grayscale, and they use similar focal ranges for each individual. What else informs your point of view? Curator: I consider the geometric purity, lines creating and dividing space, a study in pictorial construction. The monochromatic palette strips away superfluous color, leaving us with tonal relationships, the dance of light and shadow defining form and texture.
