Look closely at the cross affixed to Malling's jacket, a clear symbol of honor and allegiance, deeply rooted in the symbolic language of medieval knighthood. This cross, a visual echo of ancient crusades, carries a weight far beyond its decorative function. We find such emblems throughout history—from the Teutonic Knights to various orders of merit, each bearing a cross as a marker of dedication and sacrifice.
