This is a design for a stained glass window with bunches of flowers, made with pen, brush, and watercolor. It's by an anonymous artist. The delicate, thin lines create a sense of precision and order that I really admire. It’s interesting to look at the color. It’s not overly vibrant, but rather muted and soft. There's a lovely combination of colors here, with subtle greens and purples in the leaves and fruits, set against the creamy, neutral glass panels. The colors feel almost translucent, as though infused with light. The way the watercolors wash over the design gives it a dreamy, ethereal quality. I am reminded of Hilma af Klint who experimented with colour and geometrical shapes in her mystical paintings. Both demonstrate how art embraces ambiguity. There’s a feeling that the conversation continues across time.
