Editor: This is Sean Scully's "Yellow Light." The blocks of color create a very grounded, almost architectural feel. What visual language speaks to you most strongly in this piece? Curator: The stacked horizontal bands remind me of ancient ziggurats. The yellow light becomes a symbolic sun, a source of knowledge. Do you feel a pull towards these colors, perhaps remembering the comfort and weight of tradition? Editor: Definitely, the balance between dark and light makes it feel both stable and hopeful. I didn't think of ancient temples, but now I can see it. Curator: Yes, and perhaps that hope is a reflection of personal resilience, a cultural memory embedded within the symbolic light itself. Editor: That’s a really interesting way to think about it, seeing personal meaning within those colors and shapes.
