Horacio Garcia-Rossi made this eye-popping painting called "Progression," and the title tells you a lot! You see how one form shifts, changes bit by bit, almost like a flip book animation. It's all about how something morphs into something else through simple moves. Take a look at those circles; they’re split into black and white sections. It’s so precise it feels almost printed, but there’s a subtle painterly quality too, look closely and you can feel the hand in it. I love how the colors, that pale blue behind the circles, set off the black and white. Notice the way the black shapes rotate around the circle. It makes you think about how you look at things. Is it flat? Is it moving? Rossi's playing with our perception, messing with what we think we see. It reminds me a bit of Bridget Riley's Op Art – that same fascination with how lines and shapes can trick the eye and create a buzz. This piece makes you think about art as a verb, not a noun; it's not just about the thing you see, but about the act of seeing itself.
