This album page, Fort Bocklemünd, whose author is anonymous, is made up of different black and white photographs. I wonder what it might have been like to put it together. They must have thought about what it would be like to see these images together, thinking that these images represent one experience, the act of putting the images in order. There are some interesting juxtapositions, between the building and a truck being loaded with sandbags, for example. All this is next to trees that are lush and overflowing. I am curious about how the artist thought about the relationship between architecture and nature. A stack of chopped wood is next to a hut. It feels as though one is trying to make sense of the other. Artists are always trying to learn from each other, riffing off ideas, and pushing boundaries. It's like we're all in this big, messy conversation across time, trying to figure things out.
