This etching by Jean Baptiste Vanmour, titled "Femme Juive," is part of a series of one hundred prints depicting people from the Levant. Created between 1714 and 1715, the image shows a Jewish woman, fully veiled and draped in a long robe, standing in a doorway. The title translates to "Jewish Woman," a "Courtier who carries her goods to the Young Turkish Ladies who can't go out." This engraving provides a glimpse into the daily life and dress of Jewish people in the Ottoman Empire during the early 18th century. The print is housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
