The Lion Hunt 

Vicencio Carducho created this drawing, "The Lion Hunt," using pen and brown ink with brown wash over black chalk, heightened with white gouache, on paper. The composition pulls us into a dynamic scene of hunters pursuing lions, with the grid lines adding an intriguing layer, almost as if the artwork is mapped out or structured in a very deliberate manner.
