Endre Rozsda made "Plein poids dans le rêve" using paint, but what kind? It's hard to say, it's a whole mixed up affair of colour and form. The surface is a playground of textures, where each color seems to have its own weight. The blues and grays at the bottom feel grounded, solid, while the yellows and oranges at the top fizz like distant fireworks. Look at how he’s layered the paint – thin washes here, thick daubs there. It's like Rozsda was building up this dream, bit by bit, letting each layer react to the one before. Notice the way some strokes are dragged across the canvas, leaving these little trails of color that bleed into each other. It's in these moments, these little accidents, where the painting really comes alive. Rozsda, with his puzzle-like compositions, reminds me of Guston, how he embraced the messy, the unresolved, the sheer joy of pushing paint around. It’s a reminder that art is always a conversation, a push and pull between what we see and what we feel.
