Friedensreich Hundertwasser made 846A Window Right with all these colors, it feels like he had a whole box of crayons to play with, am I right? I just love that art is always an invitation to play! Looking closely, you see how the shapes and lines feel so loose and free. The paint is put on kinda thin, like he didn't want to cover up the paper too much. See how the colors bleed into each other, making these soft edges? It's like the buildings and windows are breathing. My favorite part is that window at the top right; it’s like a face! Hundertwasser often painted buildings and nature together, almost like they're part of the same thing. Reminds me a little bit of Paul Klee, how he made these whimsical, dreamy worlds. This work reminds us that art isn't about perfection, it's about feeling and making something new out of what you see, or imagine.
