"Place Océane, Le Havre" is a wall painting by Speedy Graphito. You can see he doesn’t hold back; it's a riot of images and colours. It’s like he’s saying, let's throw it all in and see what happens! I love that artmaking can be such a raw and spontaneous process. Look at how the different characters, from Hello Kitty to Super Mario, jostle for space. The colours are bold, sprayed on with urgency, the texture is raw. There's a question: "Voulez vous vraiment détruire ce mur?" I wonder, is he challenging us, or just reminding us that art is always temporary, a fleeting moment captured in time? Speedy Graphito reminds me a little of Jean-Michel Basquiat, that same energy and immediacy, that feeling that the work is bursting to get out. Ultimately, art is a conversation, a dialogue across time. It’s not about having all the answers, but about asking the right questions.
