Axel Hou created this Christmas and New Year’s card using etching. The image is dominated by the figure of Christ knocking on a door, flanked by two angels. Doors throughout time have appeared as thresholds between worlds, seen, for example, in ancient Egyptian art where they represented transitions between life and the afterlife.
