"Ikushima Shingoro as a Bushi (Samurai) and Ogino Yaegiri as a Woman with a Girl Attendant" is a 1707–1711 woodblock print by the celebrated Japanese artist Okumura Masanobu (1686–1764). The print depicts three figures, a samurai and a woman accompanied by an attendant, standing in an outdoor setting against a backdrop of a waterfall and a building. This black and white print is a testament to Masanobu's ability to create dynamic compositions with intricate details. This work is a remarkable example of ukiyo-e, a genre of Japanese woodblock prints that flourished in the Edo period (1603-1868), portraying scenes from everyday life and popular culture. It can be seen at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
