Biography
Balthasar Neumann was a German architect of the 18th century, best known for his Baroque and Rococo designs. Born in 1687 and dying in 1753, Neumann’s most famous works include the Vierzehnheiligen pilgrimage church and the Würzburg Residence. He is renowned for his mastery of architectural perspective, intricate details, and innovative use of light and space. His work is characterized by an elegant playfulness that defines the transition from the Baroque to the Rococo style.
