This untitled painting was made by Dan Christensen, and it kind of looks like he was ice skating with a can of spray paint! I can almost see him there, the artist, making confident swirls of color. Spray paint’s so immediate, you know? No messing around with brushes. He lays down these vibrant strokes, letting the colors play off one another. I think about other artists who work this way. It’s like they’re all in conversation across time and space.
