This engraving, titled "Portret van Johann Rudolf Ulrich," was created by Johann Elias Haid between 1749 and 1809. The work depicts Johann Rudolf Ulrich, a prominent figure in the Thuricenses order, in an oval portrait framed by a stone-like border and inscription. The inscription underneath the portrait identifies Ulrich as a member of the order, praising his merits and proclaiming him a "venerable and holy" figure. The engraving is housed in the Rijksmuseum and measures 222 mm in height and 140 mm in width. Haid's work provides a glimpse into the visual culture of the 18th century and offers insight into the representation of prominent figures in religious orders.
