"Verzoeking van Christus" (Temptation of Christ) is an etching created by an anonymous artist in the Netherlands sometime between 1630 and 1656. The artwork depicts the moment when Satan tempts Jesus in the wilderness, offering him earthly riches. The scene is set amidst a picturesque landscape with a rushing waterfall and a cityscape in the distance. The work is a fine example of Dutch Baroque art, with its strong sense of realism and dramatic use of light and shadow. It is currently housed at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
