This small silver coin, known as a "Hollandse penning," was minted in 1304-1305 by Willem III, Count of Holland and Hainaut. The coin features a profile portrait of Willem III within a circular border. The coin, only 1.3 centimeters in diameter, is a testament to the artistry and craft of medieval coin making. This piece is currently part of the Rijksmuseum collection in Amsterdam.
