Lala Eve Rivol made this mysterious Petroglyph Design. It’s got this silvery gray ground, scratched into with these lively forms in red, white, and black. Imagine her, bent over the surface, coaxing these figures out, almost like she's revealing something already there. I can't help but think about what she was thinking while making this? Perhaps she's tapping into something ancient, something buried in the collective unconscious. Look at how the figures are outlined— that red line, so sure and yet so playful, gives each shape a vibrant energy. The textures and details give this such a personal touch. This really makes me think about other artists, like Forrest Bess, who were also digging into these primal images. It's all one big conversation, isn’t it? We’re all just trying to make sense of the world, one image at a time. And it reminds me that art is a way to open ourselves up to new ways of seeing and feeling.
