This November calendar page with flowers was made by Anna Sipkema, though I don't know exactly when. It’s giving me process vibes, the kind where you see the artist working through it, kind of like life, right? I’m drawn to the way the gray ink defines the flowers, but look closer, and you’ll see it's not just gray. There’s a subtle texture, like the ink was almost dry when it was printed, leaving this gritty feel. And the flowers, those little pops of red, are like tiny heartbeats, keeping the gray from feeling too heavy. Check out how the looping green lines, kinda like vines, push and pull your eye around the page, making sure you see everything. Sipkema’s work reminds me a bit of Hilma af Klint, both diving deep into pattern and repetition, making the ordinary feel, well, extraordinary. Art's like that ongoing chat, ideas bouncing off each other across time. It’s about feeling your way through the mystery, not nailing it down.
