"Een Boeren dorp" (Dutch for "A Farm Village") is a paper-cutting print by George Lodewijk Funke (1836-1885) created between 1865 and 1875. It is a part of a series of "Nieuwe Wederlandsche Kinderprenten" (Dutch for "New Dutch Children's Prints"), popular in the Netherlands during the 19th century. Funke's detailed, black-and-white illustrations, depicting various aspects of a rural village, were designed for children to cut out and assemble into a miniature model. This print, depicting a farmhouse, windmill, and other countryside features, reflects the growing fascination with domestic scenes and nature during the 19th century, making it a charming example of educational and entertaining children's literature.
