Akkitham Narayanan created this print, Saundarya Lahiri, using a mix of geometric and organic forms rendered in earthy tones of red, brown and gold. The composition is structured around a central circle intersected by horizontal bands, immediately suggesting a sense of balance and order. Look closer, however, and you'll notice that this symmetry is subtly disrupted by the placement of swirling motifs and patterns. This creates a dynamic tension, pulling the eye in multiple directions. The geometric shapes may appear as fixed symbols, but their integration with fluid, biomorphic elements challenges any singular interpretation.
