Decanter 18th-19th century

This cobalt blue glass decanter, likely made in the 18th or 19th century by an unknown artist, is a beautiful example of glassblowing. It's ribbed body gives it a unique texture and the simple design allows the rich color to shine through. The decanter's size, just over 6 inches tall, suggests that it was likely used to hold wine or other spirits. Today it is housed in the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
