"Ornamentprent met dieren" (c. 1560-1620) is an etching by Giacomo Franco, an Italian artist renowned for his printmaking. This miniature artwork, only 64 mm in height and 100 mm in width, depicts a range of animals in a stylized landscape. The composition features a lion, a bull, a cow, a deer, and several other creatures. The fine lines and intricate details of the etching showcase Franco's technical mastery and his fascination with natural forms. This print, now housed at the Rijksmuseum, is an excellent example of Franco's skill in capturing the essence of wildlife through the medium of printmaking.
