This terracotta nestoris, also known as a two-handled jar, is an example of ancient Greek pottery from 360 BC. Its black-figure style features a scene painted in orange on the black background, depicting a man and a woman. The man holds a small animal as he approaches the seated woman. The jar's body is decorated with intricate patterns, including floral motifs and a geometric border, characteristic of the Attic tradition of pottery making. The vase, now on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, is an excellent example of Greek ceramic artistry and provides insight into the daily life and mythology of the ancient world.
