Editor: So, this is "Signs" by William Turnbull. It's got this great earthy, almost ancient feel to it. I’m curious, what kind of stories do you think these signs are trying to tell? Curator: It's like peeking into a forgotten language, isn't it? Turnbull often explored primal forms. To me, the marks evoke cave paintings or perhaps astronomical charts, hinting at something deeply human and universal. Do you see any particular connections with other artists or periods? Editor: I see a bit of Klee in the whimsical nature of the signs. It makes me wonder, were these symbols personal to Turnbull, or are they meant to tap into a broader collective unconscious? Curator: Ah, a wonderful question! Perhaps both. The beauty lies in the ambiguity, the invitation to project our own meanings. Turnbull gives us a playground for the imagination, a space for personal myth-making. What will you make of it? Editor: I think I need to let these signs settle with me, see what they whisper over time. It is a lot more profound than I originally thought.
