Sideboard Table, in Chippendale Drawings, Vol. I 1760

This delicate drawing of a Sideboard Table is from Thomas Chippendale’s collection. Notice the recurring motifs of birds and cherubic figures adorning the table’s frame. Birds, often symbols of freedom and divinity, perched on the edges, suggest a connection between earthly craftsmanship and celestial inspiration.
